Read & Reflect

Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in [being vitally united to] the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.

John 15:4 (AMP)

How does this scripture apply to your marriage? Reflect on this when you and your spouse come together for prayer.

Pray Together

Lord, what kind of 'fruit' is our marriage producing? Is it the fruit of faith and righteousness, or is it the fruit of self and selfishness? O God, our marriage is only as strong as our individual relationships with you. We must dwell in you first and be vitally united to you first. And both of us also must dwell in and be vitally united to you. Then, together, we will 'live' in you and be united to You, our Vine--our Source of love, power, and righteousness.

Without you, we can do nothing. Our marriage will be an unfruitful plant. Call us into unity with Yourself--first separately, and then as a couple. As we make our home in You, help our marriage to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. Amen.
