But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first.
How does this scripture apply to your marriage? Reflect on this when you and your spouse come together in prayer.
Pray Together
Lord, restore that first love experience we had when we fell in love. There was a time when nothing was as important as being together. Everything else took a back seat to being with my beloved. The same can be said of our relationship to You. Show us how to recapture our first love. Amen.
Share Together
List some of your favorite times from your dating days.
What did you do? Where did you go? What were your best dates? Your favorite moments together?
Share your lists with each other, and then make the effort to repeat at least one or two of these “first works."
