Read & Reflect

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalm 34:13-14 (NIV)

This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.

Matthew 5:23-24 (MSG)

How do these scriptures apply to your marriage? Reflect on this when you and your spouse come together for prayer.

Pray Together

Lord, clean up our mouths from all profanity, lies, harsh, cruel, demeaning, and critical words. There can be no peace in our relationship if we’re wounding each other with our words. There can be no peace in our relationship with You until we make things right with each other. Give us the strength to reconcile and pursue peace. Amen.

Today's Challenge

Massage Monday: Ok, here's an idea. Bless your mate with a massage sometime today. You determine what, when and where. It doesn't have to be sexual, but it can't help but be sensual in the sense that touch involves the senses. Take your time. Remove any pressure or expectations for more. Just serve your beloved with the gift of touch and let the Spirit lead.

  • Pray for at least 5 minutes together as a couple.
  • Do something to bless your spouse today.
  • Share a 15-second kiss.
