There is compelling research and evidence that what the Bible says is true. “A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression.” Proverbs 17:22 (TPT) As we consider the health needs of our church and surrounding community, please consider those who are experiencing loss and grief. Loneliness creates an even greater health risk. Providing a place where grievers can connect with others and begin to experience healing following a loss is a significant part of health ministry. You are invited to attend a one day training to obtain needed information, resources, tools and follow-up contact to provide a peer support grief recovery group in your church.

You and your local church can make all the difference for someone. Knowing we are not alone in our sorrow can help us see God’s love in a very tangible way. That’s the whole reason this resource was created; to help us be more of what God has called us to be: vessels through which God can pour His healing love into hurting hearts.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
